One month birthday for Reese...

Length: 21.5 inches (65th percentile)
Weight: 9 lbs 13 oz (70th percentile)

Aunt Michelle took baby Reese's picture... awwww!

Back to Work!

I finished my first week back to work.  I had a great week!  It's nice to be in my normal routine.  I missed Reese so much!  Aunt Michelle (Reese's sitter) sent me pictures each day and it made me so happy.  It was great chatting with all of my clients about the day Reese was born and how things are going.  Everyone gives me great advice... I really do need it!!!

Carson seems to be adjusting very well to the changes in our life.  He loves to carry Reese around and gives her lots of hugs and kisses!!!  He has fed her a bottle a few times and is so proud of that!

You Have Got to be Kidding Me!

By Jamie

Mya was eating dinner last night, enjoying her yogurt, and I noticed she was eating it with her finger!  Then she said "You have got to be kidding me!"  I asked her what she was doing, and she said, "Mommy, it's from your show!"  I tried to think and think about what show I was watching where someone was eating yogurt with their finger and it hit me....

It was this commercial!!!  And then Mya did just like Heidi Klum and was drinking the last drops!  LOL!!!

Mason is 1 month old!!!

Mason is one month old today!!!  Gosh, it has gone by so fast!! I had my appointment with Dr Chan today....all is good, except that I swear their scale is wrong!!!  It was like 7 pounds heavier than my scale at home.  Yikes!  So I guess I have a little more weight to lose than I thought.  Oh well!  I'm thankful we're going into the cold weather, so I won't feel the pressure to get back into bikini shape right away!  I'll be happy to get my jeans buttoned by Christmas!  Mya was so funny at the appointment.  When they took us back into the room, Mya asked, "Mommy, are they going to put Mason back in your belly?"!!!!!  Then, when I went to use the restroom, she wanted to go with me.  I sat down on the toilet and she asked, "Where is the little cup?" I told her I didn't need it this time! (It was very nice not to have to pee in a cup anymore!!)
Sarah and I got together yesterday for lunch and shopping at the mall.  Reese and Mason were asleep almost the whole time!  It was great to be able to shop for non-maternity clothes!!!  Sarah starts back to work next week, so I'm kinda sad that we didn't get to spend a lot of time together while she was off.  I'm looking forward to the holidays for all the family gatherings!

Happy 1 month birthday, Mason!!

Trick or Treat and Ohio U Football!

By Jamie

We had a very, very cold Trick or Treat on Thursday!  Mason stayed warm in his football costume passing out candy with me.  And Mya was a Barbie princess!

On Saturday, Mason made his first visit to Athens!  We visited Grandma & Grandpa and went to the Ohio football game (and had lunch with the OU cheerleaders!)!  Great game...the Bobcats won!

Trick or Treat

by Sarah

Thursday, October 28th

Carson has been having a pre-trick or treat party for a few years and it has always been a blast!  We would normally have kept the party outside, but since it was so cold and windy- most stayed inside.  Pizza and music kept the kids busy- they really just want to socialize with each other!  Baby Reese was passed around by the neighbors and then eventually fell asleep.  You can bet that next year I will have her out and about collecting candy!  I LOVE Halloween!!!

Carson (dressed as WWE wrestler Rey Mysterio)... great muscles, eh?

Baby Reese... daddy and mommy's little pumpkin!

The neighborhood crew
They all did a great job with their costumes!

Mason's Due Date!

By Jamie

Today is Mason's due date...and he is 17 days old!!!  He had an appt with the pediatrician yesterday, and he is up to 8 lbs 7 oz....he gained one whole pound since his appt last week!

I've been doing a combination of breast feeding, pumping and formula.  My goal is to eliminate formula altogether, but I haven't been producing enough milk for that yet.  I actually enjoy pumping as opposed to nursing.  It only takes 15 minutes but it forces me to sit still and relax!!  I get frustrated when Mason doesn't latch on right away, so I like giving him a bottle instead.  I've been nursing at least twice per day, though, just to help get more milk!

Trick or treat is just days away!  Jim got Mason his very first Halloween costume...he will be a football!!  Mya is going to be Princess Barbie, so we're on the hunt for some "high-heels" (that she can walk comfortably in) and a Barbie wig.  I have not had any luck trying to get to the grocery store the last 3 days, let alone shopping for Halloween, so this will probably wait until the weekend when Jim is home.

Overall things are going great!  Of course we are tired, and I've had many moments where I'm a little overwhelmed (like when Mason is screaming, I'm trying to make dinner, and Mya is demanding chocolate milk), but I've survived it all so far!

Have a great weekend, everyone!
