I was just thinking the other day how we have gotten through most of the winter without any major sicknesses.....and then Mya wakes up with PINK EYE on Wednesday!! Come to find out, it has been spreading itself around her school, so it was just a matter of time that she would bring it home! Good news is that Mason, Jim and I didn't get it, and Mya's eye is healing pretty quickly. We had to majorly bribe her to put the drops in, since she was terrified of them--she will be getting a Tiana princess dress this weekend!!! At one point, we had to put them in while she was sleeping! Another challenge was keeping her away from Mason!! She loves to get up in his face and "play" with him, and I couldn't even tell you the number of times I screamed "don't touch him"!!!! I think we're beyond the contagious stage now, so she's safe to play with him again...and put his paci back in his mouth the 100+ times per day that I ask her!!
***Update*** There will be no Tiana dress purchased this weekend. Putting the drops in Mya's eye has been awful....we have to hold her down. I don't know how we're going to do this for two more days since she is not cooperating. I guess her eye is getting better, but it's still a little red. Oh, the joys of parenting:)
***Update #2***Just when the first eye was getting better, she got it in her other eye!! Poor Mya! She still wakes up with her eyes sealed shut, but is much, much better now!! She got a lot more cooperative about us putting the drops in. Praise the Lord that is over!!

Reese is Four Months Old!
By Sarah
Wow, time is flying by! Reese is getting so big (not sure exactly how big- her doctor appt. is next week). She is such a great baby... she hardly EVER cries! I know that her teen years will be a different story!

Weaning
By Jamie
I have not been nursing Mason, but I have been pumping and giving him the expressed milk in a bottle (and supplementing with Similac) since he was 2 days old. Well...this weekend I will be heading to an Indoor Water Park with the youth group, and I did not want to be attached to the pump all weekend, so I decided it would be a good time to wean! All I can say is....OUCHHHHHH!!! Yesterday was Day #1, and quite painful!! But I made it through by pumping a couple minutes every 4-5 hours, icing, and taking Advil. Today is Day #2 and has been much better. I can see a drastic decrease in my milk supply, and I think I'm on track to be totally done by Thursday (we leave on Friday). I will update in a couple days!
I was a little sad at the decision to stop, as I originally wanted to get through the winter months by giving him at least some breast milk every day. But, I guess it's good that he had 4 months of it (even though it was only about 10 oz per day). He will start on cereal next week anyway. Jim will need prayer over the weekend, as he has a big meeting on Monday so he'll be working from home all weekend while taking care of the M&Ms without me!
